Full Technical Description

The IP-COM G1008M is a compact and reliable 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for small and medium-sized networks, office environments and IP surveillance installations.

All eight RJ45 ports support 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-negotiation, allowing connected devices to automatically operate at the appropriate network speed. With a 16 Gbps switching capacity and non-blocking forwarding, the switch can efficiently handle simultaneous Gigabit traffic between connected devices.

The G1008M is an unmanaged plug-and-play switch, requiring no configuration. It supports IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab and 802.3x standards and features automatic MDI/MDIX, making installation straightforward.

Its compact metal housing provides improved heat dissipation and durability. The switch can be installed either on a desktop or mounted on a wall, making it suitable for locations where installation space is limited.

The current G1008M v2.1 specification lists an 8K MAC address table, 12 Mpps forwarding rate, 192 KB switching buffer and maximum power consumption below 2.5 W.
