Overview
The TL-WA860RE 300 Mb/s Wi-Fi Range Extender with AC Passthrough from TP-Link is designed to conveniently extend the coverage and improve the signal strength of an existing wireless network to eliminate "dead zones". With 300 Mb/s wireless N speeds, a Range Extender button, miniature size, and wall mounting design, extending a wireless network has become user-friendly.
Furthermore, the Ethernet port allows the range extender to act as a wireless adapter to turn a wired device into a wireless one.
300 Mb/s Range Extender
The range extender is designed to conveniently extend the coverage and improve the signal strength of an existing wireless network to eliminate "dead zones." This helps you to maintain an existing wireless network and vastly improve the network's coverage. With 300 Mb/s wireless 802.11n speeds, it is suitable for smooth HD video, music streaming, and online gaming.
Flexible Deployment
The miniature size and wall-mounted design make it easy to deploy and move flexibly. Furthermore, the range extender profile function remembers previously paired wireless networks. There is no need to reset the device when changing the paired router.
Ethernet Bridge
Its single Ethernet port allows the extender to function as a wireless adapter to connect wired devices like Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, DVRs, and Internet TVs. At the same time, the device can share the wireless network as well
Smart Signal Indicator Light
Five signal lights represent the current signal strength that the range extender receives from the existing router, which can help you to find the right location to place it so that the device can achieve the best possible range and performance of the network
Plug-and-Play
With no new wires or cables, within the range of your existing wireless network, you can easily extend wireless coverage at a push of the WPS button on your router followed by the range extender button on the device or vice versa. An additional push of the pair button can quickly establish an encrypted connection with client devices.
Optimal Range
With two fixed external antennas combined with higher quality antenna technology, you can experience optimal Wi-Fi coverage and reliability no matter where you connect in your home.
Domain Name-Based Login
It supports the domain name-based login (http://tplinkextender.net) for advanced management.
Security
Advanced 64/128/152-bit WEP, WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK encryptions protect your network from security threats.
Compatibility
The range extender works seamlessly with all 802.11 b/g/n wireless devices. It is also compatible with Windows 8 operating system.
