TP-LINK's EAP235-Wall access point is useful for creating or expanding a wireless network to connect multiple devices. It emits a signal at two frequencies, 2.4 & 5GHz. It offers higher speeds than single band and connection of more devices. The 2.4Ghz frequency is the most widespread and has a long range. 5Ghz provides faster speed than 2.4Ghz but is more sensitive to obstacles (eg walls) that reduce its range. This difference and its more limited use helps to have less interference from other networks. The repeater can offer up to 1300Mbps in total to the devices connected to it. In practice, the actual speed shared across devices is closer to 200Mbps. It is generation Wi-Fi 5, the most common Wi-Fi standard, which can meet the needs of most users at the moment. Now there is also the next generation of Wi-Fi 6 that offers the ability to connect many more devices to serve the ever-increasing number of smart devices in a home.
