Full Technical Description
The IP-COM Pro-6-IW is a compact Wi-Fi 6 in-wall access point designed for professional wireless network deployments in hotels, offices, apartments, schools and other indoor environments. Its wall-mounted design provides high-performance Wi-Fi while integrating neatly into the room infrastructure.
The dual-band AX3000 platform provides up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz, with support for channel widths up to 160 MHz. The device uses 2×2 MU-MIMO, OFDMA, Beamforming and TWT technologies to improve wireless efficiency and performance with multiple connected clients.
The Pro-6-IW provides two Gigabit Ethernet ports, with one port supporting IEEE 802.3af PoE input and the second providing Gigabit wired connectivity. It can therefore provide both wireless and wired connectivity using a single Ethernet cable for the primary connection.
For multi-access-point installations, the Pro-6-IW supports 802.11k/v/r fast roaming, allowing compatible wireless clients to move between access points with reduced interruption. SSID-based VLAN tagging, AP isolation, client control and 5 GHz preference are also supported
The device supports centralized management through ProFi Cloud, ProFi Software Controller, compatible IP-COM controllers and web management, making it suitable for larger multi-AP deployments.
