The Dahua ASI1201M-MEP is a robust, standalone access control reader designed for secure and flexible entry management in office buildings, schools, industrial parks, and commercial centers. Featuring a durable zinc alloy front casing and a mechanical backlit keypad, this device ensures reliable operation in both indoor and outdoor environments. It supports multiple verification methods, including RFID card swiping, password entry, and remote unlocking, with a generous capacity of 10,000 users, 10,000 cards, 10,000 passwords, and 100,000 event records.


Equipped with dual-frequency RFID technology, the ASI1201M-MEP seamlessly reads both 13.56 MHz (MIFARE, DESFire EV3) and 125 kHz (ID) cards. The device offers versatile connectivity with switchable RS-485/Wiegand communication ports, a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface, and support for the OSDP protocol and ONVIF interoperability. Powered via Standard PoE or 12V DC, it simplifies installation while providing a 12V/0.5A power output to directly drive an electric lock or an external card reader.


With an IP65 and IK08 rating, the ASI1201M-MEP is built to withstand harsh weather and physical vandalism. It includes comprehensive security features such as anti-passback, tamper alarms, duress alerts, intrusion detection, and door sensor timeout monitoring. Easily configurable via a built-in web interface accessible from computers or mobile devices, it integrates smoothly with Dahua’s SmartPSS Lite, DSS PRO, and DMSS platforms for centralized, real-time management.
